You may be having Motors of different makes in your manufacturing unit. Here are the few points worth considering
Minimum information required to float an enquiry
- Frame size with Prefix and suffix (e.g. ND100L or HX112M or PM132S…)
- KW
- Speed
- Make
- Machine no (if the motor is very old)
If the nameplate is not available
- Mention Make
- Give the centre height from shaft centre to base in mm (Standard frame size)
- Speed to be measured by Tachometer
- Name of the spare part (Cooling Fan/Fan Cover/End Cover/ Terminal Block …..)
- Dimensions
Important points to note:
- The parts are not interchangeable across different make (For example, Crompton fan cannot be used in Kirloskar motor)
- Parts are not interchangeable across different series of the same make (For example, ABB HX+160 Fan cannot be used in M2BA 160 of ABB)
- Fans differ for different speeds of the same Make/KW/Frame (especially for 2 pole and 4 poles)
